PSLV Allentown Art Museum, March 2026

Printmakers Society of the Lehigh Valley Member Exhibition at the Community Gallery of the Allentown Art Museum

March 19 - March 29, 2026

We are excited to announce our first member's show of 2026 and our first ever show at the Community Gallery of the Allentown Art Museum! The Community Gallery of the Allentown Art Museum is located on the lower level of the museum. The museum is open 11AM-4PM Thursday through Sunday, and admission is free. The third Thursday of the month the museum is open 11AM-8PM; our reception will be held on the third Thursday of March (March 19).

This is a PSLV members exhibit, so you must be a current member to exhibit.

Exhibit Details

• Artworks submitted must represent a traditional hand-made printmaking process, an experimental extension of one of those processes, or a new technology handled within the scope and voice of traditional printmaking.  Reproduction prints and straight digital photographic prints will not be considered appropriate for this exhibition.
• All work must be original and the artist's own from concept to completion.
• All artworks to be hung must be framed and wired for hanging.  Saw tooth hangers do not work.  There will likely be some non-hung display space available. The Museum may have pedestals and caps available for three-dimensional prints such as artist books but the availability of these needs to be determined in advance of the exhibition. • Allentown Art Museum, the City of Allentown, and PSLV are not responsible for loss or damage to work.
• Subjects must be suitable for a family environment.  Subjects must be suitable for a family environment. Because the Allentown Community Gallery is a public space, PSLV retains the right to reject a work if it is deemed to be inappropriate for any reason. Sensitivity is requested with regards to nudity, political and religious proselytizing.
• Artists may submit up to 3 prints to be hung as space permits.  In the situation that there is not enough space to show all works, best efforts will be made to give all participating artists equal exposure in the show.  PSLV reserves the right to jury works out as necessary, for space or any other reason.
• All artwork must be submitted ahead on the online submission form below.  Your artwork identification tags generated from this form will be sent to you to attach to the backs of your artworks. It’s important to use this submission form, as it also is our database for producing the brochure for the show.
• There is a $10 entry fee PER SUBMITTED PRINT for this exhibit to help cover the Allentown Art Museum charges for the exhibit space. If for any reason one or more of your submitted prints are not displayed, the entry fee for that print will be refunded.
• The Allentown Art Museum does not charge a commission for any art works sold as part of the exhibition.

Online Art Submission Date:

March 5, 2026.  Please submit all materials through the form below. This will be used to make gallery tags to be attached to the artwork at drop off, and as the database for exhibit labels and works list.

Drop Off Date:

March 16, 2026 10 am -12

There is a small parking lot behind the art museum on N Penn St, the door into the lower level of the art museum (off-hours entrance) is behind that lot. Sign in at the door and turn left to get to the Community Gallery. (We cannot leave our cars in the small lot. We can pull up and drop-off by the off-hours entrance but we must then move our car to the visitor lot at the corner of Penn and Linden Streets and walk the short distance back to the off-hours entrance. There is a sign pointing to that entrance visible from Penn Street.)

If you cannot be present for pick-up, please have a friend pick up for you.

Opening Reception:

March 19, 6-8 PM in the Community Gallery at the Allentown Art Museum.
